As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts, too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin. ~anonymous

Kate is much better!

Kate has been resting since her ordeal on 1/20.  Today, it was warmer than it's been in a several weeks, so we put the horses out.  We don't put them out when it's down in the teens and below zero, so none of them had been out for a while.  They all had a good time.  And Kate got around really well.  It's a relief to see her with a normal gait!
If you look above Kate's right eye (left side of picture) you can see her abrasion is healing over.  It scabs and then peals, but each time fills in more.  Hopefully, when it's all done healing, you won't even be able to see a mark!
This is Kate enjoying mobility!
This is Kate in the front and Classy in the back.  Kate didn't frolic as much as the others but I still think she enjoyed the "warm" weather!
This is me and Kate!  She's very lovey and likes having her nose scratched.
This is Jesse and Classy.  She was all fired up and ready to get outside today!  She's just a beautiful animal.  I have found it impossible to get great pictures of solid black horses.  The photos just don't do them justice.  To really appreciate them, you have to see them in person!
Here is the gang strolling through the snow with Jesse!  Mac was more interested in eating hay than walking in the snow.
But one thing Mac always does in the pasture . . .   No matter the weather, no matter how much mud there might be . . .  He always has to roll!
And here is Orlando.  He has one of Mac's blankets on (which is a little small) because he tore the clasp on his blanket and I haven't gotten it repaired yet.  He is a beautiful horse even in an old blanket!
